What Is High Quality Child Care?
What is high-quality child care? There is actually much more to consider than you might think. Some of the most basic expectations should have regarding quality are that the setting is:
- safe and free from hazards
- welcoming for parents and children
- nurturing
- appropriately educational and cognitively stimulating
- clean and well maintained
- and the list goes on...
There is so much more to consider! At NACCRRA, we developed 38 research-based indicators that parents can use to evaluate child care.
